“H” is for Hoover
The H1R2 was my first robot... made from a Hoover vacuum cleaner. It’s fairly large at 20”x23”x12”. It uses a motor control board from Magnavation, which runs 2 reduction gear motors.
H1R2 is controlled by an OOPic II microcontroller from Savage Innovation. The OOPic Interface Module connects a 3”x4” keypad and a 24ch x 2 lines LCD. The Interface module can also control a servo motor for an arm I plan on attaching. It also features an OOPic WCM (Wireless Communication module) which sends info back to a PC gather from the 2 SRF08 Sonar Range Finder.
The H1R2 has a CMPS01 Compass Module, and can send a video transmission from an X-10 camera mounted on a X-10 Robo pan & tilt system.
